Meet Our Therapists

Jess Ladwig

I was drawn to the heart of the mountains in the fall of 2007 to enjoy snowboarding and the amazing community Crested Butte has to offer. With the desire to heal and connect with people, I attended and graduated from Mountain Heart School of Bodywork in 2009 and have been advancing my massage practice since. I started as an employee at Escape Bodywork Boutique in 2015 for a more consistent career in Massage. In May of 2021, I became the owner and continue to make massage accessible for visitors and locals in need of relief.

My area of focus is deep tissue and sports massage, using movement and stretching to ease tight muscles. Continually in awe of the beauty and powerful energy of the surrounding landscape, I strive to bring a unique, peaceful experience to my clients on an individual level.

Whether you want relaxation, muscle release or a combination of therapies, I will use specific techniques to meet your particular needs. I look forward to working with you soon.

Myles Bruce

I grew up in the Crested Butte area where healing and wellness have always been a passion of mine. Wanting to help people, I was naturally drawn to the field of massage therapy. Seeking the knowledge to better understand the anatomy, physiology and kinesiology of the human body I attended and graduated from IntelliTec Medical Institute in 2012 with an associate’s degree in Massage Therapy and a major in Neuromuscular Therapy. This gave me the skill set to contribute to my community in a useful way. I am certified in Swedish, reflexology, hot stone and ayurvedic modalities, but my focus is on sports massage using deep tissue, NMT and Myofascial Release techniques to create a positive impact for a thorough experience with healing results. I continue to master my craft through practice and education courses on a yearly basis.

Living an active lifestyle in the Gunnison Valley gives me a better understanding of how to help people stay healthy, happy and on the trails having fun.

In 2019 I attended Mountain Heart School of Bodywork right here in Crested Butte where I realized how important touch is and how powerful bodywork can be for mind, body and soul. The clarity of my mind and the strength I gained in spirit is unfathomable. I spent extra time to better understand the burden emotions can hold in our body as chronic pain. My goal in the work we do together is to provide a safe space to release the learned tension your muscles carry.

My primary style is a combination of Swedish, Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue and Assisted Stretching. I hope to go on a journey with you to link breath and bodywork to accomplish the specific outcome your body needs.

I am also in the process of training a service dog who I would love to include in my sessions for additional comfort. Her name is Cricket and she is half Poodle half Irish Wolf Hound (non-shedding and hypoallergenic). The goal is for her presence to add to the healing process so long as you’re comfortable with her joining.
